Scout Position of Leadership Descriptions

Holding a position of leadership in the Troop is fun, exciting, and a big responsibility. Your fellow Scouts will be relying on you! Each position has items that you must accomplish or complete to the satisfaction of the Scoutmaster in order to receive credit towards rank advancement. In addition, you must meet certain requirements (such as age and rank) to be eligible. To make sure that you understand the serious commitment you're making, both you and your parents or guardians must agree that you'll do what is expected of you.

The responsibilities and eligbility requirements are different for each position. Click below for details.

Money-Saving Food Buying Suggestions for Patrol Campout Food Buyers

  1. Fajitas usually add $2-$3 per person. If you want fajitas, it is suggested that you buy fresh meat and season it yourself rather than buying prepackaged meat.
  2. Buy store brand (Safeway, Wal-mart, Albertson’s) items when you can rather than name brand items (Kellog’s, Del Monte, Kingsford Charcoal). This includes buying cookies.
  3. Buy a package of pudding to make rather than individual pudding cups.
  4. Buy an entire box of cereal rather than individual portion size.
  5. Buy items on sale.
  6. Buy powder mixes for drinks rather than pre-made drinks (Gatorade).
  7. Don’t buy napkins, each patrol should already have paper towels in their box.
  8. Don’t buy prepacked foods like Lunchables. Buy the individual meats and crackers instead.
  9. Buy the smallest container of mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, salt, and sugar that you can find.
